The Doctors Behind Vivia

The Doctors Behind Vivia

Vivia gives American women access to vaginal estriol, a treatment that has been routine, first-line care in the UK and Europe for decades. It was founded by a doctor and is guided by practising physicians.

Dr Umair Khalid

Dr Umair Khalid, MBBS

Founder

Umair qualified in medicine in the UK and trained as an NHS doctor before leaving clinical practice to build Vivia. He started the company after seeing how easily women in Britain could get vaginal estriol over the counter, while women in the US were dismissed, undertreated, or told to just use a lubricant. He no longer practises; his job is to run Vivia and hold it to the standard its clinical advisors set.

Dr Linda Raeisi

Dr Linda Raeisi, MD

Clinical Advisor

Linda is a GP in private practice in Kensington, London. A UK-trained physician, she has spent years treating women with these exact symptoms using the protocols that are standard care across Europe. As Vivia's clinical advisor, she makes sure the formulation and dosage meet the same bar she would use with her own patients: the same estriol, the same strength, the same honest expectations.

Dr Arsh Sharif

Dr Arsh Sharif, MD

Clinical Advisor

Arsh is an aesthetic doctor and GP with a special interest in women's health and menopause. She works alongside Dr Raeisi to keep Vivia's guidance grounded in real clinical practice rather than marketing.

What Vivia actually is

Vivia Intimate Bloom is vaginal estriol, the same active ingredient used in the European standard of care, at a 0.5mg strength, manufactured in an FDA-registered facility in the United States. Nothing exotic, nothing proprietary. We did not invent estriol or improve it. We made it available to women who should never have had to fight this hard to get it.

For most women, meaningful change takes four to six weeks of consistent use. It is not a miracle cure, and we will never describe it as one.
